What is High Definition(HD) Video?
High-definition video or HD video refers to any video system of higher resolution than standard-definition (SD) video, and most commonly involves display resolutions of 1,280×720 pixels (720p) or 1,920×1,080 pixels (1080i/1080p).
So when the video resolution is 720p or above, we can say that video is High Definition Video. HD Videos can be played on larger screen without quality loss. So by playing a high definition display, you can be watching movies in amazing quality, up to 6 times higher than that of today’s DVDs!
And the most popular video formats of high definition videos are AVCHD, MKV, MTS, M2TS, MOD and WMV etc.
